MG Hector is the country's first internet car and it has been brought with many features. The SUV was launched in the Indian market on June 27 at a price of 12.18 lakh (ex-showroom).
Due to a fair price and more features, MG Hector was very much discussed in the SUV market and the company was receiving its tremendous booking. Booking of Hector was started on 4th June and 10,000 bookings had been received before it was launched on June 27.
This figure of booking is enough to show the popularity of MG Hector in India. However, with increasing booking, its waiting period is also increasing and the company has completed the booking target this year, due to which the company has decided to close the booking. Bookings of MG Hector SUV have been stopped for some time only and the company will soon announce the date of resumption of its booking.
The company is also going to increase the production of Hector. MG Motor is going to produce this SUV for the month of October 2019 to 3000 units per month. At the same time, the company has also informed that its total booking, MG Hector has more than 50% participation in its gasoline version.
The demand for smart and sharp variants of MG Hector is highest. Recently we had reported that the sale of its petrol hybrid variant is getting very good and thereafter there is a demand for diesel variants.
When MG Motors introduced MG Hector, it was revealed that the company wanted to sell about 18,000 units by the end of this year in India but now the company has completed its target and has received more booking. MG Motors has opened dealerships across the country and has already started delivery at all places.
Due to more booking, the waiting period of some of the variants of this SUV has reached 7 months and due to this, the decision seems to be correct. MG Hector has been given with four variant styles, super, smart and sharp and five color options. Two engine options have been given the option of 1.5-liter turbo petrol and 2.0-liter diesel. It also has a choice of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The price of MG Hector is 12.18-16.88 lakh (ex-showroom), in case of price, it leaves behind its competitive vehicles. There is also this SUV in terms of features and the Internet-connected technology has been used in it.
